Getting Started with Immigration DNA Testing
DDC works to make the DNA testing portion of the immigration process as simple for our clients as possible. From the moment you learn that you may need DNA testing to satisfy immigration requirements, we are here to help you. Our
specialized Immigration Team
has worked with immigration agencies, petitioners, and beneficiaries around the world for more than a decade, so you can feel confident that we will handle your case with expertise and care.
The following flowchart outlines the DNA testing portion of the immigration process from the client’s perspective. Once you complete the three steps listed below, we will take it from there.
|
- Receive paperwork from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)/U.S. embassy that requests more evidence of the claimed relationship between the petitioner and beneficiary.
|
|
|
- Contact DDC to initiate a DNA test by calling
+1-513-881-7800
(outside the United States) or
1-800-453-6846
(toll-free, within the United States). Please provide the complete contact information of every person to be tested (name, telephone number, and address).

-
Send or fax
(+1-513-881-7803)
DDC:
-
A copy of the USCIS/U.S. embassy paperwork
-
Partial payment or full payment for the test
|
Once we have the immigration paperwork, the tested parties’ contact information, and partial or full payment for the test, we will send the beneficiary’s information and a DNA sample collection kit to the appropriate U.S. embassy or panel physician in the foreign country.
The embassy or panel physician will arrange the beneficiary’s sample collection appointment in the foreign country.
(This may take some time, due to the limited availability of embassy staff or appointments. DDC has no control or authority concerning the DNA sample collections abroad, but we will notify the embassy or panel physician of any approaching deadlines.) For the petitioner within the United States, DDC will arrange sample collection at one of our
many convenient locations
.
The sample collection sites will then return the samples to DDC. Upon receiving all the needed samples, we will complete the DNA test within 3-14 working days, depending on the type of test performed.

. (Please note: Additional fees may apply for professional sample collection and for the shipping of supplies, samples, and results. U.S. embassies and panel physicians, if applicable, may also charge you an additional fee, to be paid directly to them.)
We will send the
legally defensible test results
and a clear explanation of the results to the proper immigration authorities and the U.S. petitioner. (Please note: We can only release the test results once the balance amount has been paid in full.)
